De verkrijgbaarheid van de goedkope veertig basisgoederen is tot dusver vrijwel nergens echt algemeen geweest. Stagnaties is de toevoer en/of distributie en smokkel hebben de algemene verkrijgbaarheid doorlopend parten gespeeld.

Met onmiddellijke ingang gaan de tarieven van Telesur sterk omhoog. De abonnementsprijs die lag op f.300,- wordt nu 2 US$ danwel f.1420,- (ruim vier en een half keer hoger) . De gesprekskosten bedroegen eerst 0.3 dollar cent per minuut en gaan nu vier dollarcent kosten (ca 13 x hoger).

From today Telesur will increase its tariffs for subscriptions as well as per minute. The subscription costs went up today from F 300 to US$ 2 and the price per minute for the first 100 minutes 0.04 dollar cents after which the cost is 0.08 dollar cents per minute.
